CHICAGO — A patient is suing Southwest Medical Group Ltd., which does business as Christ Immediate Care and Oaklawn Immediate Care; and a doctor, identified as Jerry Villasenor Jr., M.D., alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Michelle Cipolla filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide her with proper medical care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered severe injuries that necessitated further medical treatments. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to diagnose her appendicitis and to apply the necessary treatment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Edward W. McNabola and Terrance M. Nofsinger of McNabola & Associates, LLC in Chicago.
