CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate has filed a wrongful death suit alleging negligence in medical care.

Julie McMullen, as independent administrator of the estate of Joan Knudsen, filed a complaint on Oct. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against George Bovis, M.D.; Center of Brain and Spine Surgery, S.C.; Bradley S. Strimling, M.D.; Integrated Imaging Consultants LLC; Advocate Medical Group; and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to Knudsen.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Knudsen did not receive appropriate follow-up care following an MRI, contributing to her death.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Stephanie B. Rubin of Rubin, Machado & Rosenblum, Ltd. in Chicago.
