CHICAGO — A woman is suing Pyrotecnico Holdings LLC, d/b/a Pyrotecnico F/X LLC, Pyrotecnico F/X LLC and J & M Displays Inc., alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries during a fireworks display at an outdoor concert.

Lisette Zaid filed a complaint on Oct. 19 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to inspect fireworks so that they would shoot up into the sky.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide safety measures in order to ensure the safety of the audience, including the plaintiff, during the fireworks display.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds $100,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Scott B. Gibson of Gibson Lewis in Waukegan.
