Man says Harvey detectives falsely accused him of marijuana possession

A man is suing the City of Harvey and Harvey Detectives Jeff York, Star No. 1032 and E. Muhammad Star No. 1013, alleging his civil rights were violated.

CHICAGO — A man is suing the City of Harvey and Harvey Detectives Jeff York, Star No. 1032 and E. Muhammad Star No. 1013, alleging his civil rights were violated.

Cliff Urban filed a complaint on Oct. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they falsely accused him of possession of cannabis.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, he was wrongfully arrested for possession of cannabis. 

The plaintiff seeks actual and compensatory damages in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Garrett Browne of Ed Fox & Associates, Ltd. in Chicago.
