CHICAGO – A Cook County woman alleges she was injured because of the conditions at an Orland Park restaurant.

Jacqueline Asberry filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Granite City Restaurant Operations Inc., doing business as Granite City Food and Brewery; and Granite City Food and Brewery LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in November 2014, she fell down the stairs at the defendant's establishment, causing physical injuries. The plaintiff holds Granite City Food and Brewery responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate lighting on the stairs, did not have handrails on the stairs or set up warning signs.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that would fairly compensate the plaintiff for her damages plus any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Ankin Law Office LLC in Chicago.
