CHICAGO — A married couple's lawsuit against Andres Giraldo, M.D., and Nora Medical Group, S.C., alleges negligence in health care.

Cesar Izquierdo and Julie Izquierdo filed a complaint on Nov. 14, in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to properly interpret the result of Cesar Izquirdo's CT scan.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in 2014, Cesar Izquierdo sustained serious physical injuries due to late diagnosis of his cancer. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to make a timely diagnosis of Cesar Izquirdo's condition and provide the appropriate treatment.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. They are represented by Matthew L. Williams and John A. Mennie of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in Waukegan.
