Husband and wife accuse Advocate Christ Medical Center, others of medical malpractice

A husband and wife are suing Advocate Christ Medical Center and others, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence, leaving the wife with brain damage.

CHICAGO — A husband and wife are suing Collette Major, M.D., Mosijola Ogunbuyide, C.R.N.A., Midwest Anesthesiologists, Ltd, and Advocate Christ Medical Center, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence, leaving the wife with brain damage.

Sharon Schussler and Edward Schussler filed a complaint on Nov. 16, in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to Sharon Schussler.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege Schussler suffered serious physical injuries including brain damage after the defendants allegedly failed to properly diagnose and monitor her condition.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. They are represented by Robert M. Winter of Robbins Salomon & Patt, Ltd. in Chicago.
