Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers, others accused of failing to provide proper care

Medical malpractice 04

CHICAGO — A deceased man's family has filed a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in medical care.

Ethel Goss, as special administrator of the estate of James Goss, filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against Hamdi Khilfeh, M.D.; Southwest Physician Associations, S.C.; and Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers, alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to James Goss.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Goss experienced pain and serious physical injuries from suffering an intracranial hemorrhage that contributed to his death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly diagnose Goss' condition and provide the appropriate treatment needed.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Melanie K. Fairman of Seidman Margulis & Fairman, LLP in Chicago.
