CHICAGO – A resident at a Chicago skilled care facility alleges negligent treatment caused skin breakdowns.

Betty Bishop filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against The Imperial Grove Pavilion, Claridge Imperial LTD, The Claridge LLC, Nucare Services Corp., AK Care Inc., and several individuals, citing injuries under the Nursing Home Care Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, she experienced pain after the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to avoid the development of skin break down and infection of a surgical site.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that would satisfy the jurisdictional limits of this court, plus any further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Michael Silverman of Horwitz, Horwitz and Associates LTD in Chicago.
