Advocate Lutheran General Hospital accused of failing to follow up with patient, missing injuries

A patient is suing Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Advocate Medical Group, alleging negligence in hospital care.

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Advocate Medical Group, alleging negligence in hospital care.

Virgilios Ramos filed a complaint on Jan. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to follow up with the plaintiff after his endoscopy procedure.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered physical injuries from acute pancreatitis after the defendant allegedly failed to follow protocol and follow up with the plaintiff after having an endoscopy procedure.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Samantha Sindles of Dudley & Lake, LLC in Libertyville.
