Tower Hill Healthcare Center, others accused of negligence in connection with death

By Louie Torres | Jan 19, 2017

CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family has filed a wrongful death claim against Tower Hill Healthcare Center LLC, SW Financial Services Company and a nurse, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

James Miller, as independent administrator of the estate of Eleanor Miller, filed a complaint on Jan. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide proper care to Eleanor Miller.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Miller fell and fractured her hip, contributing to her death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to implement a care plan in order to address Miller's risk of falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants. He is represented by Jordan S. Powell and Daniel A. Goldfaden of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
