Guardian accuses Advocate Christ Medical Center of not preventing pressure sores

A woman's family is suing Advocate Christ Medical Center, alleging negligence in hospital care.

CHICAGO — A woman's family is suing Advocate Christ Medical Center, alleging negligence in hospital care.

Latasha Riddle, as guardian of the person of Alicia Riddle, filed a complaint on Feb. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Advocate, alleging the hospital failed to provide proper medical care to Alicia Riddle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the hospital failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Riddle to reduce the risk of her developing pressure sores.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Ashley Hadler Herschberger and Pamela Dimo of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
