Manor Care of South Holland allegedly failed to take measures to prevent fall

CHICAGO — A long-term care facility resident is suing Manorcare of South Holland, alleging that the nursing facility took insufficient measures to prevent her from falling.

Barbara Rivers filed a complaint on March 7 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendant failed to provide her with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she experienced pain in her shoulder after falling. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide her with adequate supervision and assistance to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by David M. Resis of the Law Offices of Steven J. Malman in Chicago.
