By Louie Torres | Mar 24, 2017

CHICAGO — The family of a motorcyclist killed in an auto accident is suing Welch Brothers Belvidere Inc. and one of its employees, for allegedly turning in front of the motorcyclist without yielding.

William B. Hale, independent administrator of the estate of Jordan Hale, filed a lawsuit on March 21 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging that the defendants failed to properly control their vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Jordan Hale sustained fatal injuries from being involved in a vehicular accident on July 8, 2016. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to yield to oncoming traffic while turning left at an intersection before colliding with Hale, who was riding a motorcycle. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to keep a proper look out while operating their vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the minimum jurisdiction of this court plus court costs. He is represented by Timothy J. Cavanagh of Cavanagh Law Group in Chicago.
