CHICAGO — A Mt. Prospect taxi company is suing American Airport Taxi Inc., and its owner Ayman Abdelhadi, citing alleged unfair competition and trademark infringement.
American Taxi Dispatch Inc. filed a complaint on April 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois alleging the defendants used plaintiff's trademarks to advertise their business.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges American Airport Taxi and Abdelhadi allegedly used a similar trademark and trade dress, logo, etc., as the plaintiff's, causing confusion among consumers.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's trademark, order the defendant to deliver up for destruction all infringing products, pay actual damages to the plaintiff and compensate the plaintiff, as well as punitive damages, interest, court costs and all further relief this court grants. They are represented by Adam J. Zayed of Zayed Law Offices in Joliet.
