CHICAGO — A Chicago man is suing The CCS Companies, a Massachusetts collection agency, citing alleged misrepresentation in debt collection and violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Alexander Valdivia Rizzo filed a complaint on April 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois alleging the defendant, also known as Credit Collection Services, repeatedly called the plaintiff to collect an alleged debt.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he received numerous collection calls on his cellular telephone during a timeframe spanning over a year, and The CCS Companies allegedly kept calling the plaintiff despite his requests to stop, and requested personal information despite having no prior relationship to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, injunction against the defendant, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Michael K. Bane of Hyslip & Taylor LLC LPA in Chicago.
