CHICAGO — A woman is suing Hunter Warfield Inc., a debt collector, alleging the company made unwanted personal contacts in attempts to collect a debt.
Kierstein Nelson filed a complaint on April 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Hunter Warfield alleging the debt collector contacted the plaintiff numerous times in 2016 and 2017 despite being notified that she was already being represented by an attorney to whom communication should be sent.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by David J. Philipps, Mary E. Philipps and Angie K. Robertson of Philipps & Philipps Ltd. in Palos Hills.
