CHICAGO — A man is suing James Moravek M.D., Midamerica Orthopaedics, David Altman M.D. and Ambulatory Anesthesiologists of Greater Chicago, claiming he suffered nerve damage while undergoing shoulder surgery.

Kenneth Keeney filed a complaint on May 30 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he sustained serious physical injuries as the result of damage done to his phrenic nerve during shoulder surgery. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to protect and avoid said nerve during the surgery.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Edward G. Proctor Jr. of Munday & Nathan in Chicago.
