CHICAGO — A woman is suing UHS of Hartgrove Inc., a hospital, for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent a sexual assault.

The plaintiff filed a complaint on June 29 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the hospital failed to provide adequate security in its facility.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she sustained serious physical injuries from a sexual assault that occurred while she was in the defendant's facility. The assault was allegedly committed by a hospital staff member. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to supervise the assailant, which the plaintiff argues would have prevented the alleged assault.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Jeffrey S. Deutschman of Deutschman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
