CHICAGO — A woman's family is suing Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers, Radiology Imaging Specialists Ltd. and doctors Matthew Glowacki and Irving L. Fuld for alleged negligence and for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Christine Dixon, special administrator of the estate of Rosa Victoria Dixon, filed a complaint on July 18 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Dixon experienced pain after a deep vein thrombosis went undiagnosed, which allegedly contributed to the deterioration of her health. The defendants allegedly failed to order a second ultrasound of the patient's legs, which allegedly were swollen and causing her pain, after learning that the first one did not provide enough information. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide Rosa Victoria Dixon with the necessary medication and treatment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by Valerie A. Leopold and Brian A. Shactman of Leopold & Associates LLC in Chicago.
