Owner of There Lounge accused of letting employee have access to gun used in shooting

CHICAGO — A man is suing the owner of There Lounge, for allowing one of his employees to have access to a handgun, which he used to allegedly shoot the plaintiff in the face in a dispute over college basketball wagers.

Trevor Woods filed a complaint on Aug. 15 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging negligence and dram shop violations.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by attorney Keith L. Young in Chicago.
