CHICAGO — A woman is suing Northshore University Health System, Northshore Medical Group and Dr. Mark Sisco for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Jennifer Toner filed a complaint on Aug. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide her with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she sustained undisclosed serious physical injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly proceeding with surgical procedures despite knowing the plaintiff was taking Tamoxifen, a medication used to treat and prevent breast cancer.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Thomas Murphy of Cogan & Power P.C. in Chicago.
