CHICAGO — A woman is suing Global Credit & Collection Corp. for alleged misrepresentation in debt collection.
Tanisha Banks-Favorite filed a complaint on Aug. 28 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging that the debt collector used deceptive means in an attempt to collect money from her.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendant failedg to disclose the difference between principal and interest in a collection letter she received.
The plaintiff seeks actual damages, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Yaakov Saks of RC Law Group PLLC in Hackensack, N.J.
