Studio OMD Inc., individual accused of failing to pay wages

CHICAGO — The state of Illinois is suing Studio OMD Inc. and Chukwudifu "Chuks" Okwuje for alleged breach of contract and unpaid wages.

The Illinois Department of Labor filed a complaint on Sept. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to pay the state agency under the terms of a settlement agreement over unpaid wages.

The plaintiff seeks penalties of 2 percent of the amount of wages owed per month, $21.80 per month, wages owed, $10.90 per calendar day, 20 percent of base wages, a $218 penalty, court costs and any further relief this court grants. The IDOL is represented in the action by the Illinois Attorney Genera's office.
