BP Corporation North America Inc., others allegedly failed to prevent woman from being doused in gasoline

CHICAGO — A woman is suing BP Corporation North America Inc. and affilated companies, Pak Petroleum of Chicago Inc., Zubair's BP and Ahmed Zubair for alleged liability and negligence.

Elizabeth Murray filed a complaint on Sept. 29 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to keep their premises reasonably safe.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was doused with a large amount of gasoline on June 13, 2013, which allegedly caused physical injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly inspect the gasoline line for any defects before allowing her to use it.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. She is represented by the Law Offices of Rahsaan A. Gordon in Chicago.
