CHICAGO — An employee has filed a class action lawsuit against Kellermeyer Bergensons Services LLC for alleged invasion of privacy and violations of state law.

Fidela Rosas filed a complaint on Nov. 6 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant collected and stored her fingerprints without consent, violating the Illinois Biometric Privacy Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that her fingerprints were collected and stored every time she clocked in and out from work. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly collecting and storing her biometric information without providing any written consent explaining why this has to be done.

The plaintiff seeks permanent injunctive relief, all damages, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants.
