Palos RC Flying Club, others allegedly failed to provide adequate security

A man is suing Robert West, Palos RC Flying Club and Academy of Model Aeronautics Inc. for alleged assault, battery and for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

CHICAGO — A man is suing Robert West, Palos RC Flying Club and Academy of Model Aeronautics Inc. for alleged assault, battery and for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Gary DeLaFuente filed a complaint on Dec. 1 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging, on May 21, 2016, he was struck with a large aluminum beverage container, allegedly splitting his head open. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to call the police when an altercation broke out between West and two other guests.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Thomas C. Koessl of Lowis & Gellen LLP in Chicago.
