CHICAGO — A woman is suing Flat Top Grill, Mongolian Operating Company LLC and Evanston Realty Associates LLC after she was allegedly struck by an umbrella.

Kaitlin M. Adams filed a complaint on Dec. 1 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she sustained physical injuries when an umbrella came out of its base at the restaurant's patio and allegedly struck her with great force. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly inspect the fixtures found on their premises and make sure that they were free of any defects that could harm the plaintiff.
