CHICAGO — A woman is suing NorthShore University HealthSystem for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Dawn M. Johnson filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she experienced several symptoms, including excessive heart palpitating and overall tiredness and weakness, allegedly due to taking an incorrect medication. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to make sure that the medication given her was correct.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs, punitive damages, interest and any further relief this court grants. She is representing herself.
