Regency Rehabilitation Center LLC allegedly failed to prevent woman from falling

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Regency Rehabilitation Center LLC for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Tomasa Agosto filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she fell and suffered physical injuries on May 2, 2017, when the automatic entrance doors allegedly closed and struck her. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate lighting, warn her about the automatic door or provide handrails at the entrance door in order to prevent her from falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court to compensate her for her damages. She is represented by George Sarikos of George Sarikos & Associates P.C. in Chicago and John J. Ward of Law Offices of John J. Ward. Ltd. in Chicago.
