Aqueelah Ramsey filed a complaint on Feb. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant required her to scan her fingerprints for use with an employee punch clock system to track hours worked, and failed to provide her and other workers with documents required by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act to inform her why her fingerprint was being collected, how it was stored and for how long the company intended to keep that information.
