Presence Resurrection Medical Center sued for wrongful death, injuries from patient fall

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Presence Resurrection Medical Center for wrongful death and allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Margarita Garcia, independent administrator of the estate of Jose Patino, filed a complaint on Feb. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Patino suffered a fall that allegedly caused a subdural hemorrhage. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to adequately assist Patino to prevent him from falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $50,000. She is represented by Michael F. Bonamarte and Nadia Adam Ahmed of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
