Oak-Leyden Developmental Services Inc. accused of negligence after employee allegedly committed sexual assault

CHICAGO — A mother is suing Oak-Leyden Developmental Services Inc. for alleged negligence.

The plaintiff, who is the mother and plenary guardian of a disabled adult, filed a complaint on May 11 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging one of the defendant's employees sexually assaulted her son. As a result, she claims her son has suffered severe and permanent psychological and physical injuries and experienced great pain and suffering.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise and control its employee and for allegedly failing to prevent her son from being assaulted.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Steven A. Denny of Law Office of Steven A. Denny PC in Oak Park.
