CHICAGO — An insurance company is seeking declaratory judgment against SQ House Corporation and Slawomir Boguszewski, claiming it has no obligation to defend or indemnify the defendants.
Country Mutual Insurance Company filed a complaint on May 11 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Boguszewski had opted out of workers' compensation coverage before he sustained a workplace injury.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it has no duty or obligation to defend or indemnify the defendants for a claim that Boguszewski filed with the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission.
