Baker McKenzie is represented in the current "40 under 40" listing of the renown German legal publishing house JUVE with two up-and-coming partners: Anahita Thoms and Dr. Heiko Gotsche. In the list, JUVE presents 40 lawyers under the age of 40 from law firms, corporates and the judiciary, for whom they predict a great future in the market.
Heiko Gotsche, Corporate Partner in the Düsseldorf office, advises domestic and international clients, private equity investors, financial institutions and wealthy private clients. He focuses on cross-border M&A transactions and corporate law issues.
Anahita Thoms, also based in Düsseldorf, heads the firm's German foreign trade practice. She advises globally active companies on internal and external investigations, advises on self-disclosure issues and on effective compliance programs. Her core competencies include complex issues at the interface between US and EU foreign trade and data protection law.
According to JUVE, the "40 under 40" list is the result of many years of market observation and numerous editorial discussions. 25 of the 40 lawyers come from law firms - commercial law firms and boutiques -, 15 from corporates or the judiciary. 14 of the lawyers on the "40 under 40" list are female.
