A woman is suing the city and private property owners for conditions on a sidewalk that allegedly caused her injuries.

Katrina Campbell filed a complaint May 26 in Cook County Circuit Court against the city of Chicago, CVS Pharmacy Inc., Stony Island Chicago CVS LLC, and Highland Park CVS LLC.

On June 25, 2014, Campbell was walking on the sidewalk overseen or owned by the defendants. The lawsuit states that a "height differential between private curb and public sidewalk" caused Campbell to fall and suffer injuries.

The defendants are cited with negligence by failing to repair the sidewalk, maintain the area and warn the plaintiff about a hazardous condition, as well as for allowing the dangerous condition to persist.

The plaintiff seeks damages in excess of $200,000, plus costs.

The plaintiff is represented by Joseph M. Scrementi of the Vrdolyak Law Group LLC in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case no. 2015L005316.
