A woman who allegedly became paralyzed after surgery at a local hospital is seeking her medical records from her stay there.
Virginia Dorenbos filed a petition to seek discovery on June 5 in Cook County Circuit Court for Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
According to the petition, Dorenbos became paralyzed after a cervical discectomy on July 24, 2014, at the hospital, and the discovery requests the medical records pertaining to her stay there. Dorenbos also seeks to learn the name of the people associated with her care.
The plaintiff is represented by Christopher T. Hurley of Hurley, McKenna and Mertz in Chicago.
