A patron allegedly injured when ejected from a Chicago bar is suing the establishment and its staff.

Tycho Cohran filed a complaint June 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against 1270 Storefront and Anthony M. Jones, owner of the establishment.

According to the complaint, on April 11, Cohran was a patron at the defendant's club known as Club Esso Chicago where he was "violently attacked and injured."

The suit alleges the defendants failed to: employ staff without violent propensities; follow hiring guidelines to not hire people unfit as bouncers; properly train and supervise staff; stop staff from using excessive force; perform background checks on employees; seek references for staff applicants; stopping staff from deploying excessive force.

Cohran seeks damages in excess of $100,000, plus costs. He is represented by attorney Steven R. Levin of the Levin, Riback Law Group in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number: 2015L005698.
