A woman is suing a house-call doctor and his practices, alleging sexual assault her during months of treatment.
Thelma Young filed a lawsuit June 1 in Cook County Circuit Court against Charles Dehaan, Housecall Physicians Group of Rockford, Housecall Physicians Group of Illinois and MD@Home Management, alleging negligence and negligence hiring.
According to the complaint, from November 2012 to January 2014, Dehaan treated Young at her home at 1000 Chamberlain St., Rockford, and during these visits Dehaan sexually assaulted the plaintiff with unwanted and non-consensual touching of her breasts, back and legs. This was done, the lawsuit states, "under the guise of treating certain medical conditions."
As a result, the lawsuit states, the plaintiff sustained personal injuries, pain and suffering, and medical expense.
Young seeks damages in excess of the court's jurisdictional limits, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Michael J. Gravlin of the Law Offices of Michael J. Gravlin in Chicago.
