Woman sues over allegedly misplaced breast implants

A woman is suing for breast implant replacements that were allegedly replaced in the wrong place.

A Glenview woman filed a complaint June 24 in Cook County Circuit Court against Benjamin Schlechter and North Shore Aesthetics SC.

On Sept. 7, 2014, the plaintiff received a consultation at the defendant's facility about the viability of various plastic surgery procedures. One of the procedures had to do with removing her old breast implants and replacing them with new ones below the pectoral muscles, the lawsuit states.

After paying the defendants $17,000, the procedure was performed on Oct. 9, 2014; however, the lawsuit states, the implants were placed above the pectoral muscles.

The plaintiff, citing breach of contract, medical battery and consumer fraud, seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

The plaintiff is represented by Michael T. Mulligan of Mulligan Law LLC in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L006456.
