A man is suing over claims he was grabbed by security guards without cause while at a train station.
Willie Baker filed a lawsuit Oct. 15 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against the City of Chicago, and two potential John Doe defendants, citing negligence and willful and wanton conduct.
The plaintiff alleges on Oct. 15, 2012, he sustained serious injuries when he was abruptly grabbed, struck on his jaw, hip, leg, back and side of body, searched and harassed by security personnel at the Garfield/55th Street CTA Red Line Train Station, 320 E. Garfield Blvd. in Chicago.
According to the complaint, the city of Chicago hired the two John Does, who are not named in the suit, to provide security.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. He is being represented by Fabbrini Law Group LLC in Chicago.
