Woman sues Orland Park tripping over sidewalk

A woman is suing over claims that an unsafe sidewalk caused a trip and fall accident.

Lorraine T. Schroedle filed a lawsuit Oct. 17 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against the Village of Orland Park, citing negligence.

The plaintiff alleges on March 25, she sustained serious injuries when she fell on the sidewalk near 8838 Butterfield Lane in Orland Park. According to the complaint, the sidewalk was cracked, broken, uneven and improperly sloped, creating a hazard.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. She is being represented by The Law Offices of Donald V. Gallagher PC in Clarendon Hills.
