A woman is suing construction companies after the exterior wall of a building collapses, causing injuries.
Andrea Pusillo filed a lawsuit Oct. 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against BM International Builders Inc. and WB Construction LLC, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, WB Constuction was the general contractor and BM International was the masonry contractor for construction of a building at 1113-15 N. Ashland Ave. in Chicago, and was responsible for construction of the exterior walls of the building.
Pusillo says that she was at the property on Aug. 30 when an exterior wall collapsed and she was struck by cinder blocks and other debris from the collapsed wall, suffering multiple injuries.
Pusillo is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. She is being represented in the case by attorney Thomas G. Siracuse of Power Rogers & Smith PC.
