McDonald's sued over slip and fall

Budin

A man is suing over claims that wet floors at a restaurant caused a slip and fall accident.

Johnny L. Barginear Sr. filed a negligence lawsuit Oct. 18 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against McDonald's Restaurants of Illinois Inc.

The plaintiff alleges that he sustained serious injuries on Oct. 26, 2011, when he fell on a wet floor at McDonald's at 1664 S. Blue Island Ave., in Chicago.

The complaint claims the defendant failed to exercise reasonable care in the management of the restaurant, failed to remove the unsafe condition and failed to warn customers of the water.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimums. He is being represented in the case by John J. Budin of the Budin Law Offices in Chicago.
