Ruby Bolden filed a lawsuit Oct. 21 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against George Simic, citing negligence.
The plaintiff alleges on Jan. 6, she sustained serious injuries when she slipped and fell on ice at an apartment building owned by the defendant at 11133-11135 S. Vernon Ave. in Chicago.
According to the complaint, the defendant allowed ice to accumulate, creating a hazard.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. She is being represented by Chicago attorney David C. McCracken of the Law Offices of Stephen G. Pinto Ltd.
