Georgia Jackson filed a premises liability suit in the Cook County Circuit Court on Oct. 11 against Chicago Housing Authority, East Lake Management Group Inc., East Lake Management and Development Corp. and American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago.
According to the suit, Jackson was at a building located near 243 E. 32nd St. in Chicago when she was injured when she fell after stepping in a puddle of water in the building.
Jackson alleges the water had leaked from the first floor ceiling and formed a puddle on the first floor of the Lincoln Perry Annex Building Council located at the aforementioned address.
She claims the defendants were negligent in failing to block off or repair the dangerous condition.
Jackson is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented by the Vrdolyak Law Group LLC.
