Susan Johnson filed suit in the Cook County Circuit Court on Oct. 21 against Dunkin' Donuts, Dunkin' Brand Inc., Morris Donuts Inc., Aziz Nathani, Kamalesh N. Patel and Ami and Kam Corp.
Johnson claims she went to a Dunkin' Donuts store at 197 E. U.S. Route 6 in Morris in October of 2011 and injured herself after she tripped on carpet mat while leaving.
Johnson is now suing Dunkin' Donuts claiming they failed to maintain their store in a safe manner. Johnson alleges she suffered great injuries from the accident and seeks to hold Dunkin' Donuts liable for he injuries.
Johnson is seeking damages in excess of jurisdictional limitations. She is being represented by Michael Wierzbicki.
