A man has filed a lawsuit against area property owners after he slipped and fell on a staircase.

Manuel Barrientos filed a negligence lawsuit Oct. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against Brix Inc., RTL Enterprises LLC, Anthony Lupescu, Donald P. Bailey, Randy Thas, Gail Potas, individually and as beneficiary of Chicago Title Land Trust Company Successor Trustee to Lasalle Bank National National Association Trust No. 9452, Robert Potas, individually and as beneficiary to above trust and First National Bank of LaGrange.

According to the complaint, the defendants own, operate and maintain a property at 8244 W. 87th St., in Hickory Hills. Barrientos says that on Nov. 8, 2011, he was at the property when he slipped and fell on the staircase, injuring himself.

Barrientos is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit. He is being represented in the case by attorney Michael T. Wierzbicki of Horwitz, Horwitz and Associates Ltd.
