Scales

A woman is suing the owners of a shopping center after she tripped and fell on a sidewalk outside the store.

Darlene Wrzala filed a lawsuit Oct. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against Mid-America Asset Management Inc., Overlook Townline LLC, JDK Townline LLC and Office Max Inc., citing negligence.

Wrzala says that on Nov. 28, 2011, she was walking on the sidewalk at the Townline Commons shopping center in Vernon Hills. She alleges that she was in front of Office Max when the sidewalk became uneven, causing her to trip and fall and sustain injuries.

Wrzala is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. She is being represented in the case by attorney Francis K. Tennant of Wolf & Tennant.
