Eagle Ridge Apartments sued for alleged negligence of employee

A man is suing after he was allegedly hit in the head and injured by an apartment complex employee.

Austin Sprouse filed a lawsuit Oct. 24 in Cook County Circuit Court against Russell McKinley and Eagle Ridge Apartments LLC, citing negligence, intentional tort and negligent hiring.

According to the complaint, McKinley was an employee of Eagle Ridge Apartments at 3305 W. Commercial Ave. in South Chicago Heights. The complaint alleges that while working, McKinley injured Sprouse by hitting him in the head, while Sprouse was legally on the premises.

Sprouse is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. He is being represented in the case by attorney Scott B. Wolfman of the Law Offices of Scott B. Wolfman & Associates PC.
